Life is about relationships. Whether to ourselves, to others, personal, professional, or intimate, our relationships are the basis of our being. Without healthy ways to manage ourselves and our relationships, we can feel disconnected and alone. I am passionate about helping people develop the skills they need to create rich, meaningful relationships at work, home, and play.

I have a passion for working with individuals and couples to write their life story as they always imagined it. I take a client-centered approach to counseling, which means each session is your time to explore your vision of connection, love and wholeness in a safe, judgement-free environment.

I received my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca University and hold an LPC license (#5609) in the state of Tennessee. I am a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist and National Board Certified Counselor. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute (NPI), and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

I received a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA and worked in the entertainment industry for over twenty-five years before choosing to pursue therapy as a second career. People are sometimes surprised to learn of my career in comedy writing, but I see the similarities as this: comedy is about observing life’s biggest and smallest moments while writing is about exploring someone’s intimate story, empathizing with their struggles, and letting their life unfold beautifully.

Whether you're seeking therapy for yourself or your relationship, you may be feeling disconnected, exhausted, embarrassed, angry, or many other emotions. Perhaps you long for better communication, greater intimacy, and rebuilt trust. In addition to working toward re-connection and love in your relationship, sex is often a difficult topic to tackle. Creating a judgement-free space where you can explore these thoughts, feelings, and personal values is my highest priority as a therapist.

I work with adult individuals and couples of any orientation, gender or commitment level using the following treatment approaches:
• Imago Relationship Therapy
• Attachment-based Theory
• Out of Control Sexual Behavior (OCSB)
• Existential

If you are coming for Sex Therapy, there is no hands-on or intrusive procedures involved. There is never physical contact or inappropriate contact between therapist and client. You will not do physical sexual coaching or exercises in the sessions but may have take-home exercises for practice.

My standard rate is $180.00 for a clinical hour (50 min.). I offer an income-based sliding scale on a limited basis. Please inquire about my reduced fees, if needed.

I accept cash, check, and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of the appointment. I do not bill insurance, but I am happy to provide receipts for each session, which may be accepted by your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement to you. Please check directly with your insurance company.

Clients are free to cancel or change a scheduled appointment provided a 24-hour notice has been given. Cancellations within the 24 hour window will be charged the regular session fee.
